Attempted murder charge for teen in Saskatoon shooting

Saskatoon police have arrested a 16-year-old boy in relation to a shooting reported in the Pleasant Hill neighbourhood last week.

The teen has been charged with attempted murder, and breach of undertaking.

Officers were initially called to the 100-block of Avenue S South just after 12:30 a.m. CT on April 28.

A 25-year-old woman suffering from a gunshot wound was found and taken to hospital for treatment. She is currently in stable condition.

Investigators determined a number of people fled the scene to a nearby home. Officers detained numerous people and seized three guns.

Police do not believe the shooting was random.
