WOODSTOCK – Police say a man is in serious condition in hospital after being caught in a machine at a metal cleaning plant in Woodstock, Ont.
They say the 43-year-old man became trapped in the machine shortly before 8 a.m. on Tuesday.

A Woodstock police officer was first on scene and was able to apply an emergency tourniquet and it took firefighters approximately 50 minutes to cut the man free from the machine.

Police say the injured man was taken to a trauma centre by air ambulance.
Police say they will be assisting the Ministry of Labour with the investigation.
