Regina police press attempted murder charge in November 2017 shooting

A 28-year-old Regina man is facing an attempted murder charge in connection to a 2017 drive-by shooting.

On Nov. 27, 2017, just before 4 p.m. CT, a 34-year-old man was walking in the 900-block of Retallack Street. A stolen vehicle drove near the man, and one of the people in the vehicle shot the 34-year-old. He sustained serious injuries, which police said, still greatly affect his health and daily life.

Police described their investigation as complex. A key development was the June 23 arrest of a man alleged to have played a role in the attempted murder.

Timothy Mitchell Louison, 28, has been charged with attempt to commit murder using a firearm and possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000.

Louison made his first court appearance in Regina June 25.
