OPP seized heroin and fentanyl and arrested a man during a vehicle stop in Peterborough early Wednesday.
As part of an investigation led by the OPP’s Organized Crime Enforcement Bureau and the Peterborough County OPP Community Street Crime Unit, officers stopped a vehicle on Lansdowne Street West shortly before 1 a.m.
Inside the vehicle, police seized heroin, fentanyl, methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia, two cell phones, two knives, a large machete and cash.
Arrested was Brandon Bellomo, 21, of Peterborough. He has been charged with three counts of a possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking, possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000, resisting a peace officer, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose and driving while disqualified.

The vehicle was seized and impounded for 45 days.
Bellomo was held in custody and was scheduled to appear in court in Peterborough on Wednesday.
