Hamilton police thank public for helping locate missing person

Hamilton police are thanking the public for helping find a missing man.

Police say Kevin Kinns was found to be in good health and was reunited with his family after he was reported missing on Aug. 4 after leaving his home on the mountain sometime before 8:00 a.m. on Saturday.

Police say friends and family were concerned for his well-being as Kinns is 55 years of age but functions at the level of a 5-year-old.

Police add Kinns is non-verbal and frequently goes for walks, often in the downtown core.

The Hamilton Police says it thanks the public for their assistance in helping to locate him.
