Police responded to reports of as many as four people breaking into a house and smashing windows in the 1200 block of Angus Street.

It happened around 4.50 p.m. on Saturday, August 5.

It’s believed that one of the suspects had a firearm, later discovered to be a crowbar.

Officers were sent to the address and arrived as a number of people were seen running from the house.

These people were found and spoken with.

It’s thought the suspects believed an individual who owed them money was present at that location.

Two of the suspects were arrested and charged.

Forty-nine year-old Melvin George Gordon and 27 year-old John Michael Cyr, both of Regina, are charged with break and enter/home invasion.

In addition, John Michael Cyr, is charged with a breach of undertaking.

Both appeared in court Tuesday morning.
