Police locate 74-year-old Brampton man who went missing on Thursday

Toronto police say they have located a 74-year-old Brampton man who has dementia after he went missing.

The man was last seen in the area of Humberline Drive and Finch Avenue West around 9:30 p.m. on Thursday.

Police said at the time that he is familiar with Toronto’s transit system and were concerned for his safety.

Peel Regional Police first announced that he was missing Thursday morning, after he was last seen at his residence in the area of Saintsbury Crescent and Egypt Drive in Brampton earlier in the day.

Toronto police worked alongside Peel police in the search.

They launched a “level three” search, which is the highest level and gives officers the ability to deploy any resources needed.

Officers deployed their mounted unit, marine unit, K9 unit and used a drone in their search.

The man was located in good health and was reunited with his family.
