SASKATOON – The Circle Drive South project that was supposed to be finished last fall is on course to open on July 31.
However, weather may play a factor in keeping the project on its new scheduled completion date.
“The contractor, Graham Flatiron, has removed the snow completely on the project and is waiting for nice weather to take place,” said Doug Drever, the city’s project director.

“We just need some heat and wind to dry things out.”
Paving is scheduled to start on May 6, which accounts for the bulk of the work needed to be completed.
The one exception is the Preston Avenue interchange, which is expected to open in mid-September.
Drivers will continue to experience several traffic detours until construction is complete.
The project was originally scheduled to be open last fall, but an abbreviated autumn slowed progress on the largest infrastructure project in Saskatoon`s history.
