The Regina Pats (14-35-1-2) pulled out a 2-1 shootout win over the Lethbridge Hurricanes (27-15-4-5) in Western Hockey League (WHL) Tuesday night.
The first of a four-game road trip against teams in the Central Division, the Pats got great goaltending from Max Paddock, who stopped 38-of-39 shots and was named the number one star.
Rookie forward Blake Allan scored the Pats only goal in regulation and his first goal of the season.
Pats defencemen Kyle Walker and Ryker Evans added the assists on the goal.

Ty Kolle and Sergei Alkhimov both had goals in the shootout.
Taylor Ross scored the Hurricanes goal in regulation – Jordy Bellerive scored in the shootout.

Hurricanes goalie Carl Tetachuk stopped 29-of-30 shots.
The Pats went 0-for-3 on the powerplay – the Hurricanes went 0-2 with the man advantage.
The Pats are right back at it Wednesday night when they travel to Calgary for a game against the Hitmen (29-19-4-1).
