Lab tests confirm presence of ricin in letters sent to US Sen. Wicker, President Obama

WASHINGTON – Investigators have confirmed the presence of the toxin ricin in letters mailed to both U-S President Obama and Senator Roger Wicker.

The F-B-I says more laboratory tests are still being done, but that results show ricin was used in the mailings.

Paul Kevin Curtis, of Corinth, Mississippi is suspected of sending the letters but his lawyer says his client maintains he is innocent.

Curtis appeared in federal court today but did not enter a plea.
