OPP investigating discovery of body on rural road near Madoc

Central Hastings OPP are investigating the discovery of a body on Friday morning.

Around 7:45 a.m., OPP found a deceased person on Blakely Lane just south of Madoc, approximately 90 kilometres east of Peterborough. The lane runs along Moira Lake just south of the village.

“The OPP have no concerns for public safety at this time,” Const. Lisa Robson said.

The investigation is ongoing.
