Toronto police have charged two men in connection with the fatal shooting of 25-year-old Dean Howlett in an east-end Toronto building.

Police said officers responded to sound of gunshots at 4111 Lawrence Avenue East on Tuesday, just before 3 p.m.

Officers arrived on scene and found a man suffering from gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead on scene.

On Friday, police said Naod Tsegazab, 22, of Toronto was charged with second-degree murder. Joseph Carlton Bryan, 21, of Toronto was charged with accessory after the fact.

Both men are scheduled to appear in a Toronto court on Friday.

The incident marked the city’s seventh homicide of 2019.
