Saskatoon police arrest three men involved in alleged home invasion

The Saskatoon Police Service say they have arrested three people involved in an alleged home invasion that took place Saturday night.

Police say they responded to a 911 call shortly before 7:30 p.m. to the 1100 block of Osler Street.

According to police, when officers arrived they noticed a vehicle leaving the area and suspect it was involved.

They followed the vehicle and got it to stop in the City Park area, police say.

Police say the male driver exited the car and surrendered to police while a passenger jumped into the driver seat and took off.

The driver hit another vehicle near Queen Street and 2nd Avenue shortly after — neither occupants were injured, police say.

The driver continued to evade police before colliding with a curb and post near Avenue C, police say.

Police say they arrested the two male occupants and found multiple weapons in the vehicle including a machete, brass knuckles and a large hunting style knife.
