Guelph police say a 14-year-old suffered a broken collarbone after being struck by an SUV while he was jaywalking on College Avenue.

The collision happened on Feb. 14, but police said it was only reported to them on Tuesday.

Police said the boy was hit in an area not marked for pedestrian crossing.

The collision is still under investigation.

Pedestrians and cyclists are also being reminded to use marked crossings and obey all traffic signals.
