Montreal police are investigating after a woman was found dead at an apartment in the city’s Ahuntsic-Cartierville borough.
Officers were called to the home on Allée Sauriol, near Sauvé Street, around 9 p.m. Tuesday.

They found a 24-year-old woman unconscious with wounds to her upper body.
She was declared dead by paramedics.

A 23-year-old man was arrested at the apartment. He is expected to meet with investigators later on Wednesday.
It is the city’s fifth homicide of 2019.
