The Calgary Fire Department (CFD) is investigating what caused a kitchen fire in the community of Glamorgan on Tuesday.
The fire at a home in the 5000 block of 45 Street S.W. broke out just before 11 p.m.

When firefighters arrived, they found smoke coming from a fourplex. Crews were able to extinguish the fire quickly.
The CFD said one resident from the suite where the fire originated was able to get out safely before they arrived. He was taken to Rockyview General Hospital as a precaution for concerns over smoke inhalation.

Six other people living in the adjoining three suites of the fourplex were also able to get out safely.
