Belleville police have ended their investigation into alleged assault against a 12-year-old boy.
Originally police said it happened at about 2:45 p.m. Tuesday in the area of Macdonald Avenue and Eastwood Park Drive.
Three teenagers were reported to have grabbed the younger boy while he was riding a scooter home from school.

It was also reported that the 12-year-old was held down by two of the teenagers, while the third destroyed his scooter.

Thursday, Belleville Police said it had “received information contrary to what was originally reported. As a result, police are no longer looking to identify the three males, and the investigation is considered closed.”
