A man has been rushed to hospital in critical condition after he suffered an electric shock while working at a site in downtown Toronto.
Emergency crews responded to a call about an industrial accident in the area of Fort York Boulevard West and Bathurst Street at 10:30 a.m.
The 18-year-old man was transported to hospital without vital signs.
The Ministry of Labour was notified.
“The Ministry of Labour (MOL) was notified of an incident on June 25, 2019 on Queen Wharf Road in Toronto. The reported employer is Nord Electric Inc. It was reported that a worker suffered an injury while working on an exit sign in a hallway. A ministry inspector has been assigned and our investigation is ongoing,” a statement read.
