Oilfield worker who died on the job near Stoughton, Sask. identified

The oil worker who died on the job in Saskatchewan on Monday has been identified.

Mark Biglin, identified by the family, was an Aaron Well Servicing employee working on a Crescent Point Energy site near Stoughton.

According to Biglin’s Facebook account, he’s from Edmonton, but grew up in Brooks, Alta. It said he was living in Kenosee Park, Sask. at the time of his death.

Site operations were shut down while the company initiated their corporate emergency response, ensuring the “ongoing safety of staff, the community and environment.”

STARS was called to the scene shortly before 1 p.m.
