A man convicted of manslaughter who escaped from Stony Mountain Institution Wednesday has been recaptured.
Ringo (Dylan) Carpenter, 28, was discovered missing from the minimum security unit at the federal penitentiary Wednesday morning.
In a tweet sent around 3:45 p.m. Wednesday the Correctional Service of Canada said Winnipeg police caught up with Carpenter around 1 p.m.
There’s no word on how Carpenter escaped or where he was found

Carpenter is currently serving an eight-year sentence for manslaughter.
The CSC said it has started an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the escape.
