NEWMARKET – A man accused in a quadruple homicide north of Toronto has had his case put over to September.
Menhaz Zaman, 23, was charged with four counts of first-degree murder after police found four people dead in a Markham home in late July.

Friends have said the four were Zaman’s grandmother, parents and sister.
Zaman, who appeared in court via video link wearing an orange jumpsuit and glasses, said little during the brief hearing in Newmarket.
His lawyer said the defence had received some disclosure materials and needed time to review them.
The judge presiding over the hearing ordered the case to return to court on Sept. 19.
