Saskatchewan seeding season coming along for farmers

SASKATOON – The majority of farmers in soggy northwest Saskatchewan have finished seeding.

About 75 per cent of those working land in areas hit by heavy spring run-off say they’re done.

Warm weather over the past couple weeks has helped. Combined with moist soil conditions, crops have also been germinating.

Agronomist Erin Tollefson with Cavalier Agrow in Medstead says wheat has been coming up in seven days or less.
