Harry Connick Jr. pays tribute to Ana Marquez-Greene

WINNIPEG – Well known American musician Harry Connick Jr. is paying tribute to former Winnipegger, 6-year-old Ana Marquez-Greene, who was killed in the Sandy Hook school shooting last year in Newtown, Conn.

The song “Love Wins” is being released tomorrow, with all proceeds of the track going to the Ana Grace fund.

Ana’s family had recently moved to the United States. Her father, Jimmy Greene is a well known Jazz musician and friend of Connick Jr. who posted the following on his facebook page.

“Jimmy, his incredible wife, Nelba, and his beautiful young son Isaiah are devastated beyond description.”

Connick is encouraging his fans to buy the song through itunes.
