Vancouver police are investigating the city’s eighth murder of the year.
Thirty-year-old Amin Shahin Shakur was shot and killed near Main Street and East 48th Avenue just after 11:30 p.m. Monday.
Police say the victim “does not have an extensive police history.”

Vancouver police were on the scene Tuesday morning.
Two businesses, THC Canada and Dank Mart, are behind police tape, and officers have removed a grey van from the alley behind the shops.
