CORRECTION: Body of Alberta man not recovered from Okanagan Lake, search continues

EDITORS NOTE: Due to a mix up in communication between the B.C. Coroners Service and Global News, the body of an Alberta man has not yet been recovered. 

The body of a 21-year-old man was found in Okanagan Lake on Aug. 2, the discovery being made near Vernon. 

RCMP say the young man’s belongings were discovered on the shore and criminality is not involved in his death. 

The search for the body of an Alberta man in Okanagan Lake continues, according to RCMP.

The 33-year-old failed to resurface while cliff jumping near Rattlesnake Island on Saturday afternoon, RCMP said in a news release.

While the search was still ongoing, police said that they did not believe criminality was involved in the presumed drowning.
