One person is dead after a crash Wednesday in Norfolk County.
OPP say a vehicle was travelling westbound on Concession 10 of Townsend shortly after 5:30 p.m. when the driver hit a pedestrian on the side of the road.
Constable Ed Sanchuk says the driver of the vehicle swerved to avoid a pickup truck that was facing east in the westbound land.

“The driver took evasive action and swerved to avoid the parked vehicle when they struck a pedestrian that was located on the side of the roadway.”

Jeffrey Scott, 50, of Norfolk County, suffered serious life threatening injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The roadway was closed for roughly six hours Wednesday. Police say the investigation is still ongoing.
