REGINA – Saskatchewan’s top Mountie is leaving the job.
Assistant Commissioner Russ Mirasty became the first First Nations person to lead an R-C-M-P division when he took the job in Regina two-and-a-half years ago.

A member of the Lac La Ronge band in northern Saskatchewan, Mirasty joined the force in 1976.
He says he plans to step down at the end of the month.
