A woman from London, Ont. has been charged with manslaughter following the death of another woman in the city’s south end on Wednesday evening, according to police.
Police responded to a 911 call about an altercation at a residence in the 300-block of Wilkins Street around 7:20 p.m. Wednesday.
When officers arrived, a woman was found dead inside the home.

Another woman inside the home was arrested and taken into custody, police said.
In an update published Thursday afternoon, police identified the deceased as a 59-year-old woman.

The woman arrested is a 39-year-old from London and police say she’s been charged with one count of manslaughter.
Police say no further identifying information will be released until they are able to identify the next of kin of the woman who died.
They added that both the victim and accused were known to each other.
The 39-year-old was set to appear in court on Thursday.
