Motorcyclist dead following 3-vehicle crash in Hagersville, Ont.

Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) say a man on a motorcycle who was rushed to hospital with critical, life threatening injuries after a crash in Hagersville, Ont., has died.

The crash happened shortly after 4 p.m. Friday afternoon.

The victim has been identified by police as 66-year-old Biagio ‘Gino’ Crimeli of Stoney Creek, Ont.

Police say a motorcycle and two vehicles were hit from behind by another vehicle at the traffic light at Highway 6 and First Line.

Police have not said if charges will be laid but their investigation is continuing.

Investigators are urging anyone who may have witnessed the collision to call them at 1-888-310-1122.

Shortly after the crash, OPP Acting Sgt. Ed Sanchuk said Highway 6 between First Line and Main Street in Hagersville would be closed for several hours.
