Toronto police say a 12-year-old girl who went missing in the city’s east end early Monday has been found safe.
The girl was initially reported missing north of the Crescent Town neighbourhood at around 1:30 a.m.

Investigators said the girl was known to walk great distances and approach community members to ask for food and/or water.

In an update released Tuesday afternoon, police said the girl was found by a member of the community.
