Toronto police say an 82-year-old man has died after he was hit by a SUV in Scarborough Sunday evening.
Police said it was around 7:30 p.m. when the pedestrian was crossing Sheppard Avenue East from the north to the south side, just east of the Allanford Road intersection.
An SUV driving eastbound on Sheppard Avenue then struck the man before fleeing the scene, police said.
Police said paramedics performed CPR on the man but he did not survive. He was pronounced dead on scene.
Investigators said they are looking for the driver of a silver 2021 Hyundai Santa Fe with front-end damage and the licence plate CRVR105.
The driver was last seen driving north on Kennedy Road.
