Quebec’s police watchdog is investigating after two teenage boys were killed following a police chase in Montreal.
The case is the third opened by the Bureau des enquêtes indépendantes, also known as the BEI, also known as the BEI, in less than 24 hours.
The independent police watchdog says Quebec provincial police were pursuing a vehicle on Highway 15 south in Montreal about 2:20 a.m. Friday.

It says the driver of the vehicle allegedly refused to stop and that officers lost sight of the car near the Sherbrooke Street exit.
The vehicle was eventually found badly damaged after a collision on Highway 15 North and the occupants, two teen boys aged 16 and 18, died in the crash.
Meanwhile, a 32-year-old man was in serious condition in hospital after Montreal police used force to arrest him after receiving 911 calls about someone in crisis outside a grocery store about 5 p.m. on Thursday in the city’s east end.
Also Thursday, a man was fatally shot by Montreal police in the city’s Lachine borough after allegedly stabbing two people.
