SASKATOON – A judge told David Woods to find a new lawyer as soon as possible after he fired his legal aid counsel in June.

Woods is accused of murdering his wife, Dorothy Woods, in late 2011.

An exhaustive police and public search turned up her body in a culvert near Blackstrap two months after she was reported missing.

Woods was due to face a judge on Monday but the case was adjourned so he could find a new lawyer.

He’s due back in court on Oct. 7.

The trial isn’t likely to take place until next year.
