Alberta RCMP said officers have arrested 38-year-old Stavon Maurice Allen under charges of first-degree murder.
The arrest came after police asked the public for help locating him.
The Alberta RCMP Major Crimes unit said Sunday that he was arrested without incident with assistance of Edmonton Police Service Tactical and K9 units.

Police have not released the details on the charges Allen faces but said Sunday an update will be provided in “the near future.”
Prior to his arrest, Allen had last been seen in Spruce Grove where he lives but is also known to frequent Stony Plain and Parkland County.
