Homicide team deployed to Coquitlam after fatal stabbing near school

Homicide investigators were deployed to Coquitalm Sunday, following an a stabbing early Sunday morning.

Police and paramedics responded to the 3000 block of Glen Drive near Glen Elementary in the early hours of the morning, where they found a man with critical injuries.

Coquitlam RCMP said the man died at the scene.

Mounties said one person was in custody, but the investigation remains ongoing.

The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team confirmed it had taken conduct of the case.
