Global News is projecting Rossland councillor Andy Morel has been chosen as the city’s next mayor in the 2022 B.C. municipal election.
Morel replaces two-term Mayor Kathy Moore, who opted not to seek re-election.
Global News also projects the lone incumbent councillor to run again, Stewart Spooner, has won re-election, joining newcomers Maya Provencal, Lisa Kwiatkowski, Jeff Weaver, Eliza Boyce and Craig Humpherys.
