London, Ont., police are investigating a stabbing that took place near Huron Heights in the city’s northeast end.
On Sunday at 10:45 p.m., police responded to a weapons report in the 200-block of McNay Street.
A man was located with an apparent stab wound and was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries.
The status of the man’s injuries remains unknown.

The investigation is in its early stages and has been reassigned to the major crime section of London police.
“We are appealing to members of the public,” said Const. Sandasha Bough.
“If anyone has information that could assist us with this particular investigation, please contact us.”

Ellen Hodgins, 73, is a resident at 202 McNay Street, an apartment building run by London and Middlesex Community Housing (LMCH), and says Sunday’s stabbing is an example of the danger she worries about daily at her home.
“I don’t know what to do except pray to God and be really careful … it’s getting dangerous,” Hodgins told 980 CFPL.
As a senior with mobility issues, Hodgins says LMCH needs to have more protections in place for residents like her.
“You just can’t sit on your laurels and do nothing about things like this. They should be having security day and night, 24 hours, but especially at night.”
Police have not named any suspect or suspects in relation to Sunday’s stabbing.
