Police in Newmarket, Ont., investigated a “suspicious” vehicle on Wednesday.
In a tweet, York Regional Police said there was a large police presence in the area of Bayview Avenue and Mulock Court and Bayview and McBean avenues.
Officers initially said they were investigating two vehicles but clarified in an update only one vehicle was involved.
Police told Global News K-9 units were on the scene.
In an update around 5:25 p.m., police said that they had “cleared the McBean location and there were no concerns.”

Police said the vehicle had been stolen.
Officers said there were concerns over a hazardous material inside the vehicle.

The force said officers took caution and evacuated the area.
Police said investigators ultimately found no threat to the public.
