After going unclaimed for weeks, the Lotto Max jackpot has finally been claimed, although the winning ticket was not sold in Ontario.
The jackpot, worth $70 million, was won by someone in Calgary during Friday’s Lotto Max draw, with six tickets worth $1 million each sold in Ontario.
Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corp. said two $1 million tickets were sold in Nepean, alongside other winners in Vaughan, Kitchener, Niagara and Kingston.
An additional four Max Millions tickets worth $500,000 each were won in the Dufferin-Peel area, St. Catharines, Brampton and Toronto.

A ticket worth just over $274,000 was also sold in Brampton.
The jackpot for the next draw on Oct. 25 will be an estimated $50 million, with two Maxmillion prizes of $1 million each up for grabs.
