Weekend death in Gibbons Park deemed a homicide

London, Ont., police say a weekend death in Gibbons Park has been deemed a homicide.

Just before 7 a.m.  Sunday, police went to the entrance of Gibbons Park near Grosvenor Street about an unresponsive male.

Emergency crews attended, but despite life-saving measures, police say the male was pronounced dead a short time later.

On Monday, police identified the victim as Daniel Joseph Fawcett, 52, of London.

Investigators are interested in speaking with anyone who may have been in the 0-100 block of Grosvenor Street between 2 and 7 a.m. on Sunday or who may have information that could assist with the investigation.
