1 dead following crash near Kinmount: City of Kawartha Lakes OPP

OPP say one person is dead following a crash in the City of Kawartha Lakes on Tuesday night.

According to City of Kawartha Lakes OPP,  shortly after 7 p.m., emergency crews responded to a single vehicle crash along Pinery Road, near Watson Drive,  about eight kilometres south of the village of Kinmount.

Police say the lone occupant of the vehicle — a 47-year-old man from Kinmount — was pronounced dead at the scene.

Pinery Road was closed near Watson Drive for several hours as OPP investigated.

On Wednesday afternoon, police said the cause of the investigation remains under investigation.
