Two men involved in Kelowna’s biggest cocaine trafficking case are now in US custody.
US Border Patrol and the RCMP Federal Drug Enforcement Branch stopped Victor Perez Rodriguez, 43, from Mexico and Tariq Mohammed Aslam, 32, of Surrey Thursday morning in San Clemente, California.
Warrants were issued for Rodriguez and Aslam on October 4th after a multi-million dollar cocaine shipment was intercepted in Kelowna.
Extradition proceedings are underway to return the two men to Canada.
Both men face two counts of Conspiracy to Import Cocaine and one count of Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking.
