Though Montreal editor Egbert Gaye didn't spend much time in the limelight, those who attended his funeral at the Westmount Seventh Day Adventist church say he was a legend.

Egbert Gaye, 67, founder and managing editor of the Montreal Community Contact newspaper, passed away suddenly on Sunday.  He founded the bi-monthly newspaper three decades ago.
