PRINCE ALBERT, Sask. – A youth has been charged after an assault in Prince Albert last month left a man unresponsive. The attack happened on May 23 in the Midtown area of the northern Saskatchewan city.

Officers arrived in the 400-block of 5th Avenue East to find an unresponsive 18-year-old man. The victim remains in hospital and has not regained consciousness.
Police believe it was not a random attack.

A 17-year-old youth has been charged with aggravated assault and breach of recognizance. He is scheduled to appear Wednesday in Prince Albert provincial court.
