Injured man, shot gun found at Saskatoon apartment after ‘loud bang’

A man is facing drug and weapon charges after he was found injured by police in a Saskatoon home. File / Global News

Saskatoon police said an injured man found Tuesday is facing charges.

At around 4:45 a.m. CT, police received a report of noises and a “loud bang” in a basement apartment.  Two people were also reported leaving the residence in the 800-block of Avenue H North.

Officers arrived to find a 23-year-old man inside. He was taken to hospital for treatment of injuries and has since been released.

A sawed-off shot gun was also located.

Police said evidence suggests the firearm had just been fired but the man was not injured as a result of the discharged shot gun.

The man is facing charges of unauthorized possession of a firearm and possession of cocaine.
