CALGARY – There was something extra on the menu Wednesday for a Meals on Wheels client in Calgary.

The organization is celebrating 50 years of delivering hot lunches and dinners, serving many seniors and people with disabilities.

To mark the milestone, Meals on Wheels brought Arnold Knopp’s lunch in two vintage vehicles that have also been around for half a century.

Knopp was delighted to see a 1965 Galaxy and a 1965 MG pull up to his house, calling them  “pretty nice cars.”

Knopp’s got a big moment of his own coming up, turning 86 on Sept. 6.

To celebrate both occasions, the MG’s owner, Fred Nelson, took him for a surprise spin in the sports car.
