REGINA – RCMP uncovered a large amount of bootleg booze on a dry reserve this past weekend in west-central Saskatchewan. During an investigation into possible bootlegging, officers searched a residence in Onion Lake Cree Nation on Aug. 22.
As a result, RCMP say a “significant” amount of alcohol was seized.

A 49-year-old woman, who is from the First Nation, has been charged under The Alcohol Gaming Regulation Act.
RCMP say the reserve is a dry community and they are committed to enforcing the laws and regulations in place.
Onion Lake Cree Nation is approximately 280 kilometres northwest of Saskatoon.
