Police identify suspect wanted for second-degree murder in fatal Toronto stabbing

TORONTO — Toronto police have identified a suspect in the stabbing death of 23-year-old Russell Sahadeo in Toronto early Sunday.

Police said Sahadeo and his friends were approached by two other men when a fight erupted just after midnight in Noble Park near Jane Street and Eglinton Avenue.

One of the two men stabbed Sahadeo in the chest and both fled the scene in a car, according to police.

Sahadeo was taken to the hospital and later pronounced dead.

Police have identified 20-year-old Ton Quoc Hoang Ngo, a.k.a. Tommy Ngo, as a suspect in the investigation and said he is wanted for second-degree murder.

The suspect is described by police as Asian, 5’7″, with a slim build and short black brush-cut hair, possibly with spikes on top.

Police are warning the public not to approach the suspect if spotted, but to call 911 instead.
