The head of an aboriginal advocacy group hopes the new leader of the Federation of Saskatchewan Indian Nations will bring a better working relationship between the two groups.
Kim Beaudin, who is president of the Aboriginal Affairs Coalition of Saskatchewan, says he welcomes Perry Bellegarde as the new chief of the FSIN.

Both groups are facing funding cuts and have major concerns over proposed changes to the Indian Act.
Beaudin says the two organizations can get a lot more done if they work together, something that has not always happened in the past.
