Hamilton police say the numbers from their Civic Long Weekend Enforcement program show some drivers still aren’t getting the message regarding safe driving.

The program ran from Friday through the holiday Monday.

A total of 188 tickets were handed out for speeding — 27 for aggressive driving and four for distracted driving.

The Hamilton Police Service has issued a release stating ” it will continue with ongoing efforts to combat the aggressive and distracted driver with continued vigilance and dedication to Traffic Safety, through education and enforcement on a daily basis.”
